Pokemon Trainer OC - Shay

( I realized after looking over some of my Pokémon OCs that I didn't actually have like a legit trainer.  And mainly that was due to the fact that, ahem..... I really sucked at battling  I never really understood the whole complicated deal with IVs and EVs and things like that.  So I just made OC trainers being Coordinators and things like that.  But now that I've gotten more into competitive battling and figured out how the whole thing works, I thought I'd make a trainer based off the real life pokémon team that I use.  (Which initially this was supposed to be a persona type thing, but in the end I made up a much cooler trainer than myself to go with this team XD)  And I got to tell you, I love this team SO much!  I run a sort of Trick Room team and at first I wasn't sure if it would work out, but boy does it ever!  I gotta say, it's a pretty satisfying feeling to completely sweep an entire team made up of legendaries with my little Marowak UuU  At one time I had a full streak of like six people just forfeiting the match within just the first few minutes into the battle, it was hilarious! XD

 So this is kind of like my Lavender Town themed team, more or less, because Lavender Town is like one of my ABSOLUTELY favorite things about Pokémon.  I've never even played any of the games Lavender Town was actually in, but for some reason it still remains one of my favorite things about Pokémon.  I just love the whole mysterious and kind of creepy factor about it.  And since ghost type Pokémon are my favorite typing that probably has a lot to do with it too >u<  Which is why my team originally consisted of mostly ghost type pokémon, but quickly I realized that making a team completely vulnerable to a single Dark type pokémon probably wasn't the best idea.  Anyways, I've rambled on long enough so let's get onto the character profile for this team! 8D )

Backstory

Shay was only 13 years old when Team Rocket descended upon their small town.  Eventually the villainous team's plans were foiled, but the carnage they left in their wake was still devastating and left some of the local Cubones orphans.  One of which Shay took in and quickly bonded with as she nursed the little Pokémon back to health after the traumatic experience.  And when Shay finally embarked on her own Pokémon journey, there was no question on who her traveling companion would be.  However, as Shay fought in several Pokémon battles and in turn lost many battles, one thing stood out to her.  Although her Cubone was an incredibly strong attacker, his lack of speed in battle was clearly a huge disadvantage.  Not to mention that at that moment Cubone was her only pokémon so fighting trainers who had four to six pokemon was not exactly ideal.  She knew just how much potential her little Cubone had and she wasn't about to give up so easily.  So Shay came up with a plan.  Instead of continuing her journey just in Kanto, she would travel to several other different regions in search of just the right pokémon in hopes of creating the team she needed.  And after five years of adamantly searching, she thinks she's finally found the perfect teammates.  And with her unorthodox strategies and tricky movesets, Shay is quickly rising in the ranks and establishing herself and her team as a fierce force to be reckoned with.

Personality
Shay is an incredibly calm and quiet individual, not one to draw much attention to herself.  That doesn't mean she's timid or shy however.  Far from it.  She's definitely not one afraid to speak her mind when certain situations call for it.  Even so, her somewhat serious attitude and lack of enthusiasm at most things may make her seem apathetic, but really she's just so placid that it would take something really significant for her to legitimately get excited or upset over anything.

Extra Info

- Shay's goal is that one day she might be able to open a gym of her own or that she might even make it to become a member of the elite four.

- The small jewel on her shirt is Lucario's mega stone.

- Legend's original name was Peanut, but since the kid's would make fun of it Shay changed the Pokémon's name to something a little more intimidating sounding.  Even so, Shay will still use "Peanut" as a nickname for the Marowak every once in a while.

- All of her Pokémon are in Luxury balls.
